👤 Meet Our Founder & CEO
Gabriel C. Chira
Founder | Process Engineer | Tritium Fuel Cycle Consultant
Gabriel Chira is a process engineer with a vast industrial and research experience across the UK and Romania, with a core focus on tritium fuel cycles and complex process operations. He played a pivotal role in the UK Atomic Energy Authority’s tritium programs, contributing directly to fusion milestones such as:
- The Deuterium-Tritium Experiment 3 (DTE3) at JET
- Leading the AGHS Laboratory Tritium Supply Project from Preliminary Design through Detailed Design
- Driving the HyDUS - hydrogen storage project from Concept Design to Detailed Design Readiness, including input into commissioning and operational strategies
Technical Background
With a strong foundation in chemical and process engineering, Gabriel previously held engineering roles in the fertilizer, pharmaceutical, and automation sectors — gaining hands-on expertise in DCS control systems, process engineering process design, process commissioning, process operation, COMAH Tier 1 Sites, ATEX Zone 0, Zone 1 and Zone 2 Environments, in heavy regulated industries.
Leadership Philosophy
Gabriel’s leadership journey began well before his engineering career. As President of the Student Council at Grup Școlar “Samuil Micu” Sărmașu, and later interim Vice President and then Secretary of the Mureș County Student Council, he helped transition the organization to a stable, democratic structure with a permanent board — fostering a culture of representation, dialogue, and initiative. This was followed by his active membership in the Organization of Chemistry Students at UBB Cluj-Napoca, where he deepened his commitment to both scientific rigor and community involvement.
These early experiences shaped Gabriel’s belief that technical excellence must be paired with transparent leadership and collaborative momentum — a philosophy that lives at the heart of GC Fusion Design Technologies.
“My mission is to make fusion-ready engineering practical, safe, and scalable — and to support teams working at the frontier of clean energy.”
